Following the recommendation of Frodder's Bangkok guide book, Michael and I signed up for a romantic dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River. The idea behind the cruise is to float down and then steam back up the Bangkok section of the river so that one can enjoy the city lit up at night. The dinner was a typical buffet (Thai, of course) and the views were great. However, even Michael's amazing camera skills and state of the art jumbo flash couldn't make up for the fact that it was too dark to capture digitally what our eyes could see naturally. (God's design still beats technology!) So, after awhile, even Michael stopped trying to take pictures and we were able to enjoy the views together.
Perhaps even better than the views, however, was the cruise entertainment crew (the highlight of the crew was the saxophonist). We had a blast!
After everyone finished eating, they started pulling people out of their chairs to dance. We danced slow, we did some swing, and I DANCED THE Y-M-C-A ON THE CHAO PHRAYA RIVER! How many people can say that?? (Thank you, Michael, for so diligently documenting my hideous dance moves!)

These are GREAT photos of fun! It really gives me a taste of the fun you must have had. Although, I had to flip by the "you-know-whats". YUCK!
ReplyDeleteMichael really looks relaxed. Hurray.
